Daniela Cano – Visual Art Sur

Daniela Cano

(1988, Venezuela) is a young and energetic artist who has been working with painting for more than 10 years.

For Cano, painting is a form of self-expression that provides her with a means to explore and channel her inner thoughts and desires. The young painter’s colorful and lively work depicts the world around, such as birds, people, bicycles, houses and different forms of still life.

Cano divides her time between family in Venezuela and Weston, United States, where she began studying art at the Art Institute of Weston, an institution founded by her artist grandmother Conchita Firgau.

Cano followed up her foundational studies in art with professional classes which gave her the tools she needed to develop further her use of color and her brushstrokes.
Her work has been exhibited at the Art Institute of Weston and at a fundraising exhibition for Fundadown foundation at the Caracas Ibero-American Art Fair in 2011.
